To wash your car effectively and without damaging the surface, you need to use not only high-quality polishing accessories but also a microfiber cloth. If you use other types of fabric, the proper result will not be achieved when washing. Microfiber towels allow you to wash your car quickly and without harming the paintwork.

General characteristics of microfiber cloth

Microfiber is a special material created by separating fabric fibers into microfibers that are a hundred times thinner than human hair. During the washing process with auto polishing equipment, this material retains moisture and dirt, which does not allow it to erode over the washing surface.

Let us note the main characteristics of microfiber fabric:

• the fibers of the fabric are very soft, so the surfaces will not be damaged during their use;

• perfectly absorb and retain moisture, preventing it from spreading in excess;

• increased strength and wear resistance, which ensures a long service life;

• easy to wash – you don’t need to think at what temperature these towels can be washed;

• have good electrostatics.

They are mainly made from polyester and polyamide in varying proportions. This ensures a large selection of such towels and other vehicle polishing equipment. It is important to take into account the density of microfiber during the purchasing process – the higher it is, the better the absorbent properties.

Purpose of microfiber cloth

Currently, many different towels differ in purpose. Let's look at each type in more detail:

• Universal. The ratio of polyester and polyamide in this case will be 80/20. They have a terry structure and have a wide range of purposes: washing the car body, and glass and plastic components of the car. This fabric has a medium pile.

• Polishing car windows. As a rule, the fabric has a short pile or is lint-free (smooth). These towels absorb water perfectly and do not create streaks during the glass car polishng process.

• For washing. These towels have a high pile density. They absorb little moisture. This cloth cleans the surface of the car very effectively.

• For drying the body. These towels have increased moisture absorption. They are easy to push up. As a rule, their pile is very short or absent.

• For final polishing. Suede microfiber is used for this. It has increased softness and absorbs water well. Thanks to these properties, it is possible to perform the final polishing of the surface very efficiently without streaks.

Depending on the purpose of the microfiber towel and other cars accessories, you need to choose its size. If this is drying a car body, then the size should be much larger. To polish the glass, a small towel is enough.

How to make washing with a microfiber towel effective?

To use these towels and other auto-accessories, just wet them and wring them out, and then wipe the required surface. Whether or not to use special detergents is up to the car owner to decide. Everything will depend on the degree of contamination and the condition of the surfaces that need to be washed or polished. For minor stains, a microfiber towel will do an excellent job even without the use of detergents. This is ensured by the presence of polyester in the fabric, so dirt can be washed off well. Polyamide allows you to effectively absorb water.

To effectively wipe off stains on the surface with such a cloth, you must alternately turn the towel to the clean side. Microfiber fabric allows you to magnetize small particles, which are perfectly retained until the fabric gets wet.
