Several indicators indicate that your air filter for motorcycle is dirty. Let's consider these cases. First of all, this is a reduction in engine power. If the rider notices a deterioration in engine performance, the air filter is clogged. It cannot be neglected, otherwise, the engine will not only perform worse but may also fail if appropriate measures are not taken.


If there is an uncharacteristic noise when the vehicle is running. When idling, there are uniform vibrations of the device. The presence of pops and unusual sounds indicates that the vehicle does not have enough incoming air.

There is a smell of gasoline in the exhaust gases. If a gasoline smell is felt when starting the engine, this means that not enough air is entering the injection system. This leads to the fact that an excess of unburned gasoline will be released from the exhaust pipe.

If there is excessive consumption of gasoline, it means the air filter motorcycles is clogged. This leads to a decrease in air supply, which means a decrease in the amount of oxygen. Therefore, during operation, the engine tries to compensate for the lack of oxygen through greater fuel consumption. In the first case, the appearance of oil indicates that the motorcycle has traveled more than 10,000 kilometers without changing the oil filter for motorcycles. This leads to the fact that the engine does not have enough oxygen and it begins to compensate for it from the crankcase along with the oil. But if the filter is replaced, and after 500 km there are still traces of oil on it, then you need to contact a service center for a technical inspection. This is because serious problems may have occurred that are not related to the operation of the air filter.

The second case is characterized by the presence of oil deposits on the filter. It is because the crankcase ventilation system is clogged. For example, when clogged, the valve stops functioning, stopping in one position. If it is constantly open, gas will continuously flow into the crankcase system. It will cause the engine to run poorly. If it stops in the closed position, crankcase gases will not circulate and they will be concentrated inside the engine.

In the third case, when the oil filter motorcycle is clogged, the crankcase gas pressure increases. It is directed into the engine crankcase through the piston rings.

If people want to extend the life of their motorcycle engine and avoid unexpected breakdowns on the road, then regularly replace the motorcycle filter and undergo a timely inspection.
